An efficient template interface
Yeah, im getting more and more tired by the "load template" function.
Looks like a mid 80's interface.
I would like to be able to sort template by professions, type (for Heroes, RA, TA, Pve locations, etc..)
Nothing to add. It should've be done since ages.

Simple solution to this, really. Tidy up your template names. Put the profession at the start of the template, so that when it sorts them alphabetically, it also sorts them into professions. Sure, it would be nice to have an automatic sorting function, but to say that the system is a "mid 80's interface" is overexaggerating just a bit.

that is basically a method i use, albiet the "load template" already have a slight profession filter that greys out the builds you or your hero cannot load.
But changing the name will work, i have all my builds ranked from A, B, and C, so it would look some thing like A - Shock Axe Warrior, when i open my template list for Warrior all the A class builds are right up at the top.

Oh, i forgot something.
When im looking at a skill, i would be able to see more informations. Actually, all i can see is for ex, the amount of dmg according to MY current caracteristic in the linked attribute.
Thats a pain. Have to do alt-tab, laucnh firefox and go on wiki to have informations about that skill.
I saw some very nice sites on the net, when you put the cursor on a skill, it shows "do 12.. 75 (12) dmg". The number between parantheses being the amount of dmg you'll do with your current attribute.
It isnt a lot of work to implement this. It exists..
Since im making suggestions, ill ask for one more.
Actually, the only way to elaborate a new build, considering all skills in the game, is to go to a balthazar priest. Unfortunatly, All skills are grey, making the task even more unpractical.
Finally.. why not a GWpedia, in game ?
Edit:
@Meat Axe: No, no, thats totally impossible, i would like to press a button to sort all ranger builds, not spend hours naming -AND renaming- my hundreds templates.
And i would like to temporarly save my current template to elaborate a new one, then going back to the previoust, in two clics.
Thats why computers are being more powerful, and application being more user-friendly : to add new functionnalities, making things easiest.
And my bad, but in mid 80's, the loading functions were _exactly_ what gw is offering now.

They already have this. Take a look at my templates.
You just have to know how, I suppose....lulz.
I'm a very organized person, and I have to do this. If you notice the builds, for example "E - Shock Axe," the "E -" stands for Elementalist profession. It's under the Warrior folder, so Warrior/Elementalist is basically what it's describing.

I may not be very clear, im sorry.
Ill give an in game example.
Im ele. A monk ping his build, i dont find it good. I press K, then.. press K again and say, "ya ya ok lets go" because its too boring to navigate between hundreds builds (most of them arent monkeys builds of course).
And no, all my builds arent named " El Me RA mind blast conju nightmare 3" or so. Add to this fact that, to sort them efficiently, i should rename it as "RA El Me mind blast conju nightmare 3"

Your sloppyness is your own fault. Get organized, and it's easy. When you were young, you were probably told to clean your room. The reasoning is simple, because it's easier to find things, like that toy or book you want when they're in shelves or stacked in boxes rather than a pile on the floor. I'm that kid at school with the organized school binder for all my classes.

Oh man ! Tyvm !
I didnt knew that it was possible to add folders. Woot!
Ok, i take it.
Still, Anet is lazy, where is the "create folder" option ? I dont see why we should have to minimize the game and navigate througt windows directory to do that.

Yes. You can, if you click on the screenshot, it shows a brief example of how I did it.
It makes me happy to know I'm helping, but sickens me since, I joined the game back up in Febuary this year after templates were released, and I discovered about the folders on day 1. I really should have helped, people would have known to make folders like 10 months ago. xDDD

Well, I'm sure Anet could have made a function to add and delete folders in game. That, or they could have at least made a folder called PvP or something to give us a clue that it was possible via explorer.

You want Anet to implement a system because you're too lazy to sort templates? O ok.

I just put letters in front of the folders:
a - Warrior
b - Ranger
c - Monk
And so on, with the ingame profession order.
Works fine with me.
The only thing I want is being able to send templates to the chat while in explorable areas.
It's just senseless that you can see and save templates sent by others, but you have to go to an outpost to send yours. ¬¬X

Actually, if you open skills window and click on the floppy disk icon, you can do it. Click on the template one on the bottom, which opens up the current build, and then click send to chat.

Yeah, the current. Not any.
I can't show any but the build I'm currently using or my heroes'.
But what If I'm asked about another build?
